Casa de Becque
Casa de Becque nestles in the heart of the Sierra Cabrera mountains, in a hamlet of about 7 houses, in the province of Almeria, southern Spain, 3 km from the small village of Cabrera, which has a wealth of Moroccan-style architecture, with an abundance of minarets and Moorish arches. We are 10 minutes from the village of Turre, which has a very good supermarket, a Friday street market, selling locally grown fruit and vegetables, flowers, and plants, along with all the usual souvenirs, clothes, beachwear etc. It also has many bars and restaurants to suit everypocket! We are 15 minutes from the popular town of Mojacar, which is famed for its charming hillside setting, quaint narrow streets, and Moorish archways, which date back to about 1450. Mojacar also has miles of sandy beaches and some very good beach bars. We are 45 minutes from Almeria airport, and two and a half hours from Alicante airport, and can arrange transport from either. We can now offer 3 double or twin bedrooms, all with private bathrooms. Two rooms have french windows opening onto a charming terrace, complete with comfy sofa, cane furniture, grapevine, and jasmine, wisteria, passionflowers, and other semi-tropical flowers. The other bedroom has a romantic terrace of its own, with cane furniture, grapevine, semi-tropical plants, and stunning views.
Our rates include continental breakfast, with freshly squeezed orange juice, and home-made bread and preserves, but we are more than happy to provide whatever our guests prefer. We have a great a la carte menu with daily specials, plus a good vegetarian menu.
